Mosquito Activity Alert – Help Protect Yourself and Our Community
As temperatures rise, mosquito activity has increased throughout the Las Vegas Valley. We encourage all residents to take a few simple precautions to help reduce mosquito populations and protect themselves from mosquito bites.
  • Protect Yourself
  • Wear insect repellent when spending time outdoors.
Consider wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants, especially during dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active.

Help Reduce Mosquito Breeding
Mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water. Please inspect your property regularly and eliminate any sources of stagnant water, including:
  • Buckets and containers
  • Birdbaths
  • Flower pot saucers
  • Children's toys
  • Clogged gutters
  • Any other items that collect water

Report Mosquito Activity
If you are experiencing increased mosquito activity around your home, you can report it and request overnight mosquito trapping by contacting the Southern Nevada Health District at 702-759-1633.
Working together to eliminate standing water and report mosquito activity can help reduce mosquito populations throughout our community. Thank you for doing your part to keep Peccole Ranch a safe and enjoyable place to live.
